Problem
We have given the analysts role the privilege to 'Maintain personal dashboard' under Configuration Components, Configuration, Designers, in order that they can personalise their own dashboards in WebDesk. However, when this is done, the only option available in the drop-down box is "make this dashboard my personal home page" so there's no facility for them to actually change anything on the dashboards.
Answer
With the "maintain personal dashboard" privileges, the analyst can right click on the shortcut bar and select to 'Add a dashboard shortcut'. They can create a personal dashboard, entering a new dashboard title rather than select an existing one. This will create a blank personal dashboard that they can then modify, adding gadgets and columns as required.
