· (August 15, 2014) Microsoft has released one non security update KB2883051: Provides information about the PowerPoint 2013 update KB2883051 that was released on August 12, 2014.
Improvements in this Update
This update improves the Record Audio and the Record Slide Show features in PowerPoint 2013. It changes the default audio format from WMA to M4A, which is a format that is supported by PowerPoint Online and also by ARM devices such as Microsoft Windows Phone, Google Android, and Apple iPhone. In addition, this update provides a registry key that can be used to change the default audio format back to WMA:
Registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\PowerPoint\Options\MediaTargetFormat
Value: String
MP4 (default): Use .mp4 for video and use .m4a for audio
